It was a beautiful day so I took the seven out to check some of the roads for the gathering.

If our weather is as nice as that, it will be a great get together.

another video from my recent scouting trip. Somehow the audio is not sync'd on this one.

https://youtu.be/Ze1sYdvEjoo

First post is also updated with the latest attendee's and agenda. We have 27 cars confirmed, 47 total people, but not all will be attending all three days. I am still waiting on three confirmations, 2 sevens and a local with an MGB.

I will be sending out a link to my dropbox with all the turn by turn directions for those that want to print them off. I will have multiple copies of the standard googlemaps directions printed and available.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in a few weeks.

I'm getting excited to head down to the event. I'll be getting in late Thursday night and leaving Friday after all the festivities. However, I really hope I can get some ideas and things to watch for in my build (and maybe even get a ride-a-long one if someone is feeling generous). Though I'm in the early stages of my build and have been researching these cars for well over a decade, I have yet to actually sit in one. I can't wait to hit the road and see these cars in person. See everyone there.

I sent an email to all attendees with the agenda and routes as well as shared a drop box folder with the detailed route notes. Looking forward to the drives. Thursday and Friday weather is looking great, but Saturday has a higher chance of rain than I like. Missouri weather is spotty and we may luck out. I should be at the hotel shortly after lunch on Thursday.

Looking forward to it. I'll be in my DD as the mg is not quite ready for primetime. Best is maybe PBS. :D

As such, I can also run at the back of the pack with some basic tools and a cell phone in case it is needed. I can also help transport 2, maybe 3 others to dinner if the weather turns bad.

See you all soon.

We've had Canadians come down before for our gatherings so you'll fit right in. Russ

Perry, if you can make it down, I'd be glad to give you a ride-along. Of course you'd have to deal with my wife for riding shotgun. She may be able to take you, maybe not. It would be fun to watch. And yes, our Canadian friends are always welcome.

You know I would love to attend this guys buy alas our governments still have the border closed down.

You guys need to post lots of pics, scenery, flat tires, break downs, road kill, trips to the bush with toilet paper hanging outta back pockets, lot lizards, guys that want to sit on your fenders, people that just want to touch your car, anything mildly arousing car wise, trailer frogs, three legged dogs, wifies - smiling or not, guys you knocked off your fenders, young girls that want to sit in your car, old women the want to rub your car, old guys that were "going to build one of these cars 40 years ago", Chuck doing a hand stand in front of a 7, foodie pics, and last but most important ..........................a group picture of everyone that attended and had a blast you lucky buggers.

I'm sure all attendees would enjoy the hell out of Perry. I know I would. How ever the Canadian Government in their vast wisdom won't let him cross the border. They may know something we don't.
