Larry, you should hook up with "skinny-g" ! Greg lives just a couple hundred miles north of you in Lake Okanagan B.C.
I missed making connections with him when I was in the area vacationing (he had the flu!) but it's a great area to drive!

Julian "still recovering" Dz.

Good advice Julian. It is really nice in B.C.. The drive from Nanaimo to Tofino is a lot like some of the Arkansas roads only with fewer straights and tighter curves.

And I believe there are a few more builders in Vancouver.

Put out a call to Seattle area builders on the Yahoo list but so far no responses. Got to be somebody building here.

Hey Julian,

Just learned of a B.C. gathering this weekend up close to Skinny. He might be there if everything is OK with his wife and her scheduled surgery (which was just postponed for a couple of months). Jack McCornack has committed to attending plus all the Vancouver builders, which are many.

With my Locost still in KC and the fact that I just discovered the meeting and it's less than a week away I'm going to have to pass on attending this year. However I fully plan to attend next year. Have seen some pics of some past meets and they look like great fun just like the Midwest Gatherings.

I hope I can make both meets in 2012. The car will be 99% done by then. Only 99% because these beasts are never 'complete'.

Hey Guys, during the Friday nite dinner at the gathering, I was talking to one of you (maybe Austin Cooper) about "stage rallys" like the old "Press On Regardless" in Michigan and the "100 Acre Wood" in Southern Missouri. I did a little checking and found out the "100 Acre" is held the last weekend in Feb., and is run by a group called "Rally America" (see http://www.rally-america.com). The same schedule is planned for 2012 with more info available at http://www.100aw.org. Sorry I didn't remember who I was talking to, but so many new faces, so little time. Maybe we can catch up where we left off next summer in Minnesota!
