Hello.
Is there any problem if i weld brackets for rear shock mount like this?
Had brand new GAZ shocks, but they too short and i like to fit it this way.
Upper arm will use ball-joints for camber-toe setup, PU bush for the upright.
Or any useful similar setup will help.

You could weld double-shear tabs to the top of the upper arm instead. This is how the 3rd gen RX7 is done. You just need to add the motion ratio to the wheel rate calc. Or, if there's adequate clearance to the wheel/tire sidewall, mount it in single-shear on the end of the upper PU through-bolt.
Note: recommend rod ends on the inboard part of the upper arm rather than ball-joints.

Exactly what I would suggest. Far better off welding double shear tabs to the upper arm than to the cast upright.

I mean rose joint(rod ends), had 4 14mm sitting in my garage.
Have no poblems with tig or mig welding, but i prefer if possible to avoid putting damper on upper arm.
However i can do it if no other solution....

IIWM, I would try to put the coilovers on the lower control arm as they will require less chassis height. I really don't like the idea of welding a coilover mount to the cast upright. I cant say exactly why. Maybe it is the more traditional method. mounting it to the upper or lower control arms or the upright itself changes the necessary coilover's range of motion if done right. ITOH, there is nothing requiring the coilover mount should be welded to either control arms or uprights. You could make a separate mount that shares the same bolt as the upper bushings if you can find a way to make it rotate freely from both the control arm and the upright. It is not without it's own problems For sure, the easy solution is to mount it to one or the other control arms.

I also do not recommend your suggested upright mod.
Why not drop the upper mount with a spacer,adapter if it is already built?
Pick of the rear corner might help if you want a doodle of a clean way to handle the drop.

Had 2 sets of Gaz dampers.....problem is that one is way too long even for lower arm fit, other set is shorter even for upper arm fit.
But it seem that i will use the longer one, it will be less hassle to install....
