It's a compromise. You could flip the strut right-side up and the seat would be above the axle, or raise the lca mount higher for clearance, or offset from the lca cl with consideration for twisting of the lca (more crossection/weight added to the lca). Further out is less likely to bend the lca. If the ratio falls near full bump, the lower strut needs to be further out.
