My mom had her 2 doses of Phizer. Similar in the feeling tired department, she had none of the concentration issues, but on her second she did feel dizzy when up and about between naps.

I'm scheduled for April 23'rd for my first round. That is the closest date available in CT (55-65 group just opened on Monday).

I had my 1st Pfizer shot a week ago. Other than having a tender arm for about a day and a half, nothing to really report. The injection itself was painless. The easiest I've ever had. My wife got the Moderna a week prior and had similar experience. Just sore arm for a couple of days.

Son, a 1st line medical worker, had his 2 shots of Pfizer and had no adverse reactions either.

I know some people have had worse reactions. Surely it is less than actually getting the Virus.

I got my 2nd on Jan 9th, the next day i felt like i was run over by a truck --> twice. Lasted about 2 hrs. A little worn out for another day, then i was fine.

My initial plan was to wait a year, but when i was able to get it early, i decided it wouldn't make sense not to. I was more afraid of being told that i needed to close my business than the actual covid virus, however getting that vaccine was really not a big deal (i had it on a saturday)

I can't balance the risk of a mystery injection with contracting the flu.

In my mind the risk for the injection is higher because there is no guarantee you won't get the flu after being vaccinated.
Combined with the risk of side affects or a bad reaction. Multiplied by the likely hood the flu will mutate.
Even though I'm of the older age (higher risk) group I can't recall the last time I was sick. (5 years?)

None for me, thankyou.

Half-truths, false equivalencies, logical fallacies, and erroneous statistics are not exactly the basis for a good decision matrix. :BH:

I got the Moderna. First dose was a non-event. Second dose felt like a slight hangover the next morning. Things cleared up by 10 or so and I went about the day but at 3 pm, I ran out of gas. Slept for three hours. Woke up with a low fever (99.2). Two Advil and a beer and I felt normal in about two hours. Fine since. Glad I got it and it's over with (until the inevitable booster). Still wearing a mask, however.

For those of you who are not planning on getting the vaccine for whatever reason, have you ever had a tetanus, polio, measles, flu or any other preventative shot? They are not 100 % effective, and some people have reactions to getting them. If you are concerned about the mRNA vaccines, are you reconsidering your position with the recent J&J approvals?

I don't want take this discussion to a political one. I simply don't understand the thought process.

Most if not all of your examples happen as a child, long before a person gets to choose.

My answer is simple, "Never buy the first year of production".
Applies to almost everything, not just cars.
I have no plan to get these shots this year.
Cannot discuss their unusual production without getting "Political".

The opposite is more often true today. First year is getting it to market. Second year is figuring out how to build it cheaper.

Just saying.......

I got the virus Feb/Mar of last year a few days after traveling for work. I was very concerned about being hauled off somewhere for isolation, stayed home, and self medicated in misery for a few weeks since my doctor refused to see me. Have not been sick since. I don't intend to get the vaccine. I also don't get flu vaccines.

I had my first Moderna shot February 8, 2021. It was no big deal. What I experienced was just what the nurse giving me the shot said might happen. It was a complete non-event. I had much worse reactions to some flu shots, and the hepatitis A/B vaccine in the past. My chance of getting severly ill has already fallen significantly just from dose #1.

I get the second Moderna shot this Monday, March 8th. By April 1st, when full efficacy is established, my chances of getting severly ill, going to the hospital, or dying from COVID-19 is just about zero. That is frickin' HUGE. I am truly grateful and appreciative.

Don't woose out. Don't succumb to bullsh*t politics or misinformation. Get your shot(s) as soon as you're able. It really might save your life, and even possibly the life of someone you might unknowingly infect along the way.

I'm sorry, but I'm just completely fed up with all the bullsh*t people are pushing on social media and elsewhere. You're risks are going to be much lower if you've had the shots than if you don't get them. It's just that simple.
