Time to do this again, it's been too long.

Ron (RTz ) plans on driving his Locost up from Portland on June 17 (weather permitting) to meet up with Larry (benney_toe ). So I offered my garage for Locosts and Coffee that morning. Hope more builders and friends (and cars) can join us. We should have at least two running cars there and one on the table. Planning date is June 17 from 9:00am to 1:00. If the weather fails us, we could shoot for June 24.

Let us know if you can join us.

Got a response from Paul. He is planning a westward trip but no date in mind yet. Be nice to see him again.

What a great idea! It would be nice to have something similar in our region from time to time.

Cheers,

Unfortunately, June 17 and 24 are both no-go for me. :BH:

Well, it looks like the weather is going to fail us on June 17, so we're going to defer a week and reschedule for June 24 and take another shot at getting together then. Looking forward to seeing Ron's car here, even if it has a few bug splats on the windshield.

Looks like the weather is going to give us a break and Ron (RTz) plans to drive up from Portland Saturday morning (June 24.) His ETA is 9-ish. I'll have the coffee pot on. Join us if you can. Send a PM or email if you need directions.

Now I need to finish cleaning the garage. :D

You know the old saying guys, "take pictures or it didn't happen". Looking forward to hearing and seeing pics of the get together.

As a side note Tom, about cleaning the garage reminds me of a time at work. The big cheese of the company was coming to our rural outpost for a visit. My boss told us to clean our compressor shop so that it was spotless. Well we did, you could eat off the floor and the workbenches, no parts were lying around, the shop was in pristine shape. Well the big cheese came around and toured the place, when he poked his head into our shop he looks around and says "What?, don't these guys do anything around here?"
That's why til today my own shop will never be spotless

What a great trip. Tom and his wife are gracious hosts. Car9 is even more stunning in person. So much work and detail has gone into it and I can hardly wait to go for a ride. Thank you Tom for spending the day with us and sharing your journey!

Sorry the other Gents couldn’t make it, it was otherwise a perfect field trip. Hopefully next time.

Just for you, Perry :)

Great photos too, Ron.

Sorry I wasn't there. It looks so organized as well.

Cheers,

It was great having Ron and his wife visit. What his post didn't mention was that they left Portland on Dawn Patrol at a chilly O'Dark-thirty and made the three-hour (@speedlimit  ) run to Seattle in really good time.

Ron's car is a really clean, well thought-out build. Nicely done! He took me on a short blatt on a local, curvey test-loop. Fun!!!
And he plans to add a turbo

Thanks for the comments re the build space. 45-years ago when we built the house, my wife wondered why we needed a three-car garage. Now she knows
But it is a lot to clean...

Sorry the scheduling didn't work out for the other local Locosters. You missed seeing Ron's inspirational build.
