Possible 1993 Rotus 7 Project Car for Someone Here

There is an inoperative, BMW-powered Rotus 7 project in the San Francisco area that just appeared on Bring a Trailer this morning. It was previously licensed and driven in California. It has California plates and title.

It has been sitting for a while. There is a lot of corrosion on exposed parts of the car. I know the area well. It's adjacent to my home town. It is about half a mile from Richardson Bay, which is a part of San Francisco Bay and subject to a lot of salty fog. It has probably been parked outside in that environment.

It is complete and looks like an excellent project car for someone. There is no reserve on the vehicle. Tamalpais Valley is just south of Mill Valley (94941) on the map.

Sold my '71 Vette on BAT back in April. That resto was my 'covid sanity' while sequestered. Wife was happy, it kept me out of here hair.
Saw the Rotus come up in the daily feed. ,, couldn't resist it.
Started the ball rolling building a Locost back in 2007. built a 24x40 garage in 2011 to handle project space, It still took another 4 cars worth of rehabs and still no 7.
So thank you BAT ....kind of forced my hand! ha!

I finally looked at the pics on BAT. The front springs appear to be larger diameter than original, which were (as I recall) 2.5" ID. Curious how they reworked the mounts - and kept them from hitting the suspension rocker arm.

It appears most were built with Koni shocks. This one (as well as one other I've found pics of) were built with Carrara shocks. I find it interesting as I have the same Carraras on on my FIS6. (fuel injected Spit 6 pronounced physics)

Updates... total rebuild of front suspension including powder coating and new calipers and rotors
New metal brake lines throughout. engine has new manifold and carb and is running. Gear shifter slop already fixed.
Cowl and windshield completely removed to ease wiring investigation and schematic drawing
firewall gutted and deck polished
pedal box and hydraulics all rebuilt/replaced.
