RX7 for cheap (possibly)

Found on another site I watch:

http://www.mgexp.com/phorum/read.php?2,2548302
In case anyone wants to build a Frankenwankle I happen to have a nice 13B rotary engine professionally rebuilt and in excellent running condition with new clutch and good 5-speed gearbox. It has a complete 1987 RX7 wrapped around which I have owned from new but which is now moderately rusty (in spite of having been repainted once). I know these cars don't have very good resale value, and I am considering scrapping it soon rather than driving it until it collapses. If anyone wants a good rotary engine it can be driven anywhere as is (although it is not currently licensed). Before I scrap it or post it for (cheap) sale, I was wondering if anyone on this forum would be interested in using the engine (and gearbox) for an MG conversion.
This car is reasonably local to me. I can check it out if anyone is serious. Just don't send me on a goose chase. My time is valuable this close to Xmas.
Chuck.

Posting has a couple of pic's.

#############Happy Holidays#############

We have a vintage American made Metal and wood Logan Lathe. MidCentury or perhaps WWII. Everything appears to be working and there is no damage to the lathe. Includes the motor and LOTS AND LOTS of accessories and tools to be used with it.

This is from an estate sale, so I don't know much about it. It has a red metal label that says "Logan Lathe Screw cutting and Turret Lathes, Logan Engineering Co, Chicago IL. Someone mentioned it might be a model 200.

It measures approx 54" wide x 27" deep x 50" high. It is very heavy and you will need to carry it up a few stairs. I believe it can be taken apart too to make it easier to move if you know what you are doing (we don't ;).

Asking $1900 or best offer - Cash please. Located in Twain Harte just outside Sonora. Please call 510-219-9158 to arrange a time to see the Lathe if interested.

We also have a Sterling Drill Press and Welder

**You can view these items Dec 20th, 21st and 22nd and then again Dec 30 - Jan 4th. ***

Divide $1900 by 3.5 to 4.5 range to get value of the Logan lathe. Logans are fairly well supported for manuals/parts/info.

Interesting fender line. I wonder if that solves the buffeting problem.

Not cheap but might be interesting. .. A 3/4 size car hauler.

http://modesto.craigslist.org/cto/4254287006.html

My father built this one-off truck in the mid 90's. It is hand built by an expert metal worker. I can guarantee you will not find another one like it.

This vehicle looks like a Peterbilt truck but is in fact only 70 or 80 percent the size of one. It is registered as a home-made pick-up truck not as a semi-trailer truck. It is powered by a 7 liter Nissan diesel engine. My father died 90% through making this vehicle and so it has very low miles on it as he only drove it around in Nevada for a year or so. It could use some paint and the interior needs to be finished. It has a manual gearbox. This truck is "air-ride" equipped.

This truck runs and is in working mechanical order. The starter motor was just rebuilt and a new slave cylinder installed.

I am selling this truck because I do not have the resources to finish it. It has been in my family for two decades and I feel a great sorrow knowing it has become an family relic resigned to sitting around getting dusty when it should be out on the road getting strange looks and big smiles from truckers.

If you have any questions - feel free to send an e-mail. Name is David.

Very tempting, but I need to work with what I've got. I'm a little concerned about my keyways holding with the torque I have already. May need to weld those solid I suppose, to leave a hub for replaceable sprockets.

I emailed the guy re the molds for the fenders, it is indeed an interesting look and I suspect "rare" is an understatement. The price seems quite reasonable, considering how expensive it is to ship race cars all the way from France. Does anybody know how it finished at Le Mans?

For some of you Honda 600 guys, I found this unique car at http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/cto/4279887326.html for only $1050.
Superb Owl car.JPG
This is a custom made helmet football car built on a Honda 600 microcar chassis and running gear. This was built for Super Bowl XVIII in 1984 played in Tampa between the Raiders and the Redskins. The football is built on a motorized stand that makes the football rotate end over end like it is being kicked for a field goal. The helmet has a door on it that opens. The Football also has lights in each end that light up at night. Car needs a head gasket installed but engine has already been taken apart, cleaned, honed and ready to be put back together. Fix it and drive it or paint your teams colors on it and use it for a Bar promotion or signage. Gets toms of looks anywhere it goes. Street legal. You won't find anything like this anywhere. $1,050

I don't have a personal financial interest, I just volunteer at the local Discovery shop a couple of times a week. ..
But if baseball cards are your thing, this might be right up your alley. If anyone's interested, drop me a pm or call Stacy direct.
Less than 4 cents per card. ......... :cg:

A few days ago we posted that we had received a donation of 35,000 baseball cards. We recently had them appraised and were quite surprised at the quality and content! 1994-1995 baseball, football, and basketball, we have rookie cards, cards still sealed in plastic, along with unsealed, from Cal Ripkin Jr., Wade Boggs, Marcus Allen, Brett Favre, Barry Bonds, Chili Davis, Troy Aikman, Steve Young, and sooo many more! (34,992 to be exact!). All are packed up approximately 3200-3500 per box; we're selling them for $125.00 per box (even though our expert said to sell at $175). They're all in the manager's office and will not be out on the floor due to the quantity. So, if you're interested, come on in! 510-601-0100
